Chinese New Year – Year of The Pig

 

2019 is the year of the pig along with the following years:

  • 1935
  • 1947
  • 1959
  • 1971
  • 1983
  • 1995
  • 2007

The pig is the 12th zodiac, the reason being is that when the zodiacs decided to throw a party the pig was the last to show. There are 2 theories to why the pig was late, the first being:

The pig is a lazy creature and slept in therefore was late to the party

The second theory being:

The pigs house got destroyed by a wolf and therefore the pig had to rebuild his house before coming to the party.

The pig is a symbol of wealth. It is told that the characteristics of the pig are enthusiastic and bursting with energy. When they have an idea, they come through with that idea. They value life and they enjoy buying things. Having the ability to buy things is what motivates them to be hard working and enthusiastic about their careers. The pig likes to take leadership roles when they can, and they are very passionate about it.

Men who are born in the year of the pig are gentle and optimistic. They are very driven to achieve their goals and would do anything to help them achieve that no matter how much of a difficult task it may be.

Women who are born in the year of the pig are said to be easy-going and full of excitement. They are very social, and they can also win others trust very easy with their high-spirited personality. As well as being high spirited they are well organised and hate being messy.
