Victoria Quay’s

Located just behind The Pinnacles student accommodation in a beautiful canal setting, Victoria Quays is home to Quayside Market, an open-air market with water views.

If you want to experience life in Sheffield as a local, this is the place! There are lots of independent stalls where you enjoy world street food, live-music, craft beer, cocktails and more!

It is very student friendly; food vendors will often give you free samples of their produce so you can try before you buy. If you don’t fancy the Market, you can simply relax and take in the picturesque views at Victoria Quays.

Sheffield Botanical Gardens

Sheffield Botanical Gardens are a calming oasis of greenery at the heart of the Steel City. Situated near Eccleshall Road, it is a great day out for students looking for a quieter scene to embrace.

The gardens are completely free to visit, offering peaceful retreat away from the urban city scape of Sheffield.

It is a listed English Heritage site, complete with glass houses which are home to over 2,000 species of plants and flowers. The botanical gardens are also a perfect spot for taking your Instagram pictures in Sheffield!

The Millennium Gallery

Listed as one of the most impressive art and culture galleries in the northern England, The Millennium Gallery boasts unique exhibitions of modern and contemporary art and artefacts of national and international status.

Devonshire Green

Located just a 15 minute walk from DIGS The Pinnacles. Devonshire Green Park is a lovely green space situated in the city centre.

It is surrounded by student-friendly bars, restaurants, and clubs in Sheffield. International cuisine and high street favourites such as Taco Bell and Dunkin Donuts are also nearby, making Dev Green perfect for a chill and bite to eat.

The park hosts live music in the summertime, it is an area of general hustle and bustle so you can grab some drinks with friends and sit in the sunshine!
