It’s Veganuary! Going to uni and have never cooked before? Try out some of the best student friendly vegan recipes, they are meat-free, budget friendly and full of bursting flavours. Food is fuel, if you’re trialling out Veganuary this January or being vegan is second nature to you, chef it up in the kitchen with your flat mates and get cooking.

1. Vegan chilli con carne

A household classic with a vegan twist, chilli! Try for a filling and nutritious meal that is packed with flavour and home comforts.

2. Tofu and asparagus stir-fry

Tofu is a high protein, plant based alternative to meat products. Accompanied with asparagus, this easy dish is bound to appetise your pallet with it’s chilli infused flavours.

3. Vegan mac and cheese

Are you really a student if you don’t have pasta at least 3 times a week! Get your cheese fix with a vegan twist on a classic mac and cheese.

4. Sweet potato burgers

The GOAT of all potatoes. Reach for this recipe when you feel like guzzling down a burger with some vegan cheese. Served best with avocado and tzatsiki!

5. Mushroom fajitas

It’s Mexican Night! Grab some nachos as a starter and cook sizzling fajitas with your flat mates for the main course.
