Mental Health Awareness Week 2024 will take place from May 14th – May 19th 2024 with focus on “Movement: Moving more for our mental health”. Being active is important for our mental health. But so many of us struggle to get enough exercise, especially students who are trying to balance physical activity with lectures, revision, down time and a bustling social life.

Neglecting our physical wellbeing can be detrimental to our mental health. Even something as simple as getting fresh air and going for a walk can make a huge difference to your mindset and how you approach the every day. Mindset is key, exercise is proven improve your overall brain health, releasing endorphins aka happy hormones, reducing stress and symptoms of depression and anxiety.
