If March is looking a little dull then we suggest you check out London Beer Week. I bet you like the sound of it already!

Not a fan of beer? Well not to worry… there will be ales, lagers and ciders too.

If you’re teetotal then it doesn’t mean you should miss out, there will be a bright and buzzing atmosphere which people of all ages can enjoy. Just pop along from Monday 13th March – Sunday 19th March.

What can you expect?

London Beer Week is a seven-day festival so there is no excuse for missing out. You simply turn up on the night based on a location which is best suited to you. Technically, you are going on a guided tour, which is usually totally inflexible and, well, ‘guided.’ Thankfully this one is pretty relaxed, meaning you can go at your own pace, starting and finishing whereever you like.

With events like ‘Guinness X LBW ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARTY’ ‘MEAT AND BEER CLUB’ ‘SPIRIT OF PRAGUE’ and ‘COME DOWN WITH ME’ among others it really is not to be missed. You can also find a full list of all the bars participating in London Beer Week on the website.

Go on expand your beer horizons

Thursday 16th – Saturday 18th March

The Beer Edit makes up three of these seven days and is ‘the beer highlight of 2017.’ Where is it? It’s reigning victory over the entire Oval Space in East London. Creating a village full of beer just off Hackney Road, hoorah! If you have been living in London (DIGS Ravenscourt we’re talking to you) then you are missing out big time if you’ve never been to Oval Space. It is a multi-use events space and nightclub and is a short walk from Cambridge Heath Rail Station. It’s a ten-minute walk from Bethnal Green tube station so totally commutable for all our thirsty DIGS students. It really is an exciting, vibrant and original place that you must visit at least once. You can buy tickets here.

There are multiple start times and food is available, not just beer! It’s an event with a warm venue, a warm welcoming and pints full of atmosphere.

There is more to London than overpriced cocktails . The sophistication of our capital city is not totally unaffordable. Enjoy London Beer Week at great prices and please don’t forget to praise London and its cultural quirks. It deserves your loving!
