Booking your accommodation with DIGS is a simple and secure process. With 3 different student locations across the UK, we are here to help you kick-start your student journey. Before you book your accommodation, you need to ensure you can comfortably say ‘yes’ to the following questions.

Do you have a guarantor? What’s this?

How to Apply

Choose your room

Search by location or property name to find a room. Filter your results by price or tenancy to make sure the room is right for you, then simply click ‘book’.

Apply online

You will then be taken to our online booking portal where you
can apply for a room. just register your details and then follow the steps.

Receive confirmation

Once we have received your application, a room will be allocated for you, and you will receive a room offer. By accepting the room offer you will be entering into a legally binding contract.

Payment Info

What are my Payment options?

Payments need to be made through bank transfer, please log onto your booking portal and select ‘payment info’, here you will find all the relevant bank details. It is vital that you put your full name and DIGS Student ID in the reference section so that we know you have made the payment. If you have any issues making a bank transfer then please call our team on 01484 270145 and they will be able to direct you further.

How many instalments will I have?

You will have 3 rent instalments usually due in October, January and April, which coincide with Student Finance. There is also a deposit of £100 and a smaller pre-rent payment of £150 to pay in August. The exact date can be found on your statement.

International student?

International students can pay 60% of the full rent prior to the contract start date, and 40% in January, or full rent upfront. There is also the option to pay in three instalments with a UK guarantor. If you would prefer to pay in instalments but do not have a UK guarantor you can use Housing Hand who will act as a UK guarantor on your behalf.

Booking through Sheffield Hallam University?

If you have booked a room through Sheffield Hallam University and they have confirmed your offer, our team will be in touch once they have transferred the booking to us.
